ALUMNI ATHLETIC NEWS

 

Congratulations to the following alumni who have continued to use their talents at the high school and college levels.

 
Class of 1972
 
Michael Duignan retired from the New York City Fire Department in August of 2003. In the summer of 2004 he coached AAU Basketball in Ireland at the Irish National Camp. He lives in Pleasantville with his family.

Class of 1975

Marlene Harthman returned to her alma mater in 2004 and 2005 to help coach  the 5th and 6th Grade girls' basketball team. She currently lives in Riverdale.

Class of 1998

 
Franklin Diaz graduated from Mount Saint Michael Academy and recently graduated from Long Island University - C.W. Post.
 
Class of 1999
 
Mount Saint Ursula alum Marjorie Prado ('99) graduated from Post University in Connecticut in 2007. She was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Second Team during the 2006-2007 season.

Class of 2001

Johnny Garcia graduated from Saint Agnes High School in Manhattan in 2005. He is the proud father of a baby girl and is serving in the U.S. Navy.

Class of 2002

Idelissa Lluveres helped lead Aquinas High School to the Class "B" State Championship in the spring of 2006. In 2005 she was named to the New York Daily News All-Bronx Girls' Basketball Team. At Aquinas she was a member of the volleyball team and the starting shortstop for the varsity softball team. She is currently playing softball at Baruch College in Manhattan

Dalilia Garcia also helped Aquinas to the state championship in the spring of 2006.  She is attending City College in Manhattan where she is a member of the soccer team.

Alinca Hamilton graduated from Aquinas High School in the Bronx and is attending Baruch College.

 Wander Cedano and Julian Paulino graduated from Mount Saint Michael Academy and are attending Fordham University.

Gary Bautista is attending Lehman College in the Bronx.

Ceasar Saravia graduated from Cardinal Spellman and is currently attending Syracuse University.

Class of 2003

Yisneiry Medina graduated from Cathedral High School in 2007 and is a student at Syracuse University.

Raul Rosario graduated from Cardinal Hayes in 2007 and is studying at John Jay College in Manhattan.

Christopher De La Rosa graduated from All Hallows in 2007. He was a freshman at Siena and a member of their team that advanced to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in 2008. He is currently a junior at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.

Juan Gomez graduated from Cardinal Spellman in 2007 and is attending the University of Buffalo.

Class of 2004

Luis Garcia graduated from Cardinal Spellman in the spring of 2008 and is a sophomore at the New York Institute of Technology.

Class of 2005

Brian McMahon is a senior and the starting center at Mount Saint Michael in the Bronx.
