RENOVATION PROJECT
RECEIVES CHALLENGE GRANT

Please Help Us Meet Our Goal!

We just received word that the school will receive a Challenge Grant of up to $20,000 to complete necessary work on the Peace Garden play yard!  For every dollar we raise for this project, The Endowment for Inner-City Education will match it one-to-one.

We need your help!  We have until May 31 to do this.  Any gift, large or small, will help.  There are a number of ways you can donate:

Renovation of this play yard would create a safe outdoor recreation area for over 400 students, including in the After School Program, which provides over 100 students and their working parents with an enriching alternative to latch-key situations.

It would also be used during lunchtime, physical education classes and sports programs, as a recreation area in addition to the gym (which is also used as an auditorium and lunchroom), and as a place for learning, prayer and development events.

The project truly exemplifies our mission of educating the whole child. Within this safe, beautiful space in the heart of the inner-city, students would grow in physical wellness and spirituality.  For more information on the history of the Garden, click here.

Thank you so much for your support of this very important project.  If you have any questions, please email officedev@steliznyc.org.
