We
just received word that the school will receive a Challenge
Grant of up to $20,000 to complete necessary work on the Peace
Garden play yard! For every dollar we raise for this
project, The
Endowment for Inner-City Education
will match it one-to-one.
We need
your help! We
have until May
31 to do this. Any gift, large or small, will
help.There
are a number of ways you can donate:
Renovation of this play yard would create
a safe outdoor recreation area for over 400 students, including in the
After School Program, which provides over 100 students and their
working parents with an enriching alternative to latch-key situations.
It would also be used during lunchtime,
physical education classes and sports programs, as a recreation area
in addition to the gym (which is also used as an auditorium and
lunchroom), and as a place for learning, prayer and development
events.
The project truly exemplifies our
mission of educating the whole child. Within this safe, beautiful
space in the heart of the inner-city, students would grow in physical
wellness and spirituality. For

Thank
you so much for your support of this very important project.
