BASKETBALL COACHES
Girls'

The girls' basketball program has grown
in recent years thanks to so many volunteers that have made it stronger. Mr.
Michael O'Boyle will begin his eleventh year in 2011-2012 as the girls' varsity
coach. He is a former sixth grade teacher and is currently the athletic director
and physical education instructor at St. Elizabeth.
Assistant coach, Mr. Richard Solis, is an Incarnation graduate and St. Elizabeth parishioner. Coach Solis is
a longtime resident of Washington Heights and is active in several groups at St.
Elizabeth Church.
Danny Duignan ('67) returned in
2009 to assist with our girls program. A former student and coach here at St.
Elizabeth, Mr. Duignan has been a valuable asset to our program.
Ms. Colleen Spilka, a native of
Connecticut, has joined our coaching team as a volunteer to work with the 5th
and 6th grade girls.
Mario Fanas ('04) is
currently volunteering his time to help the girls' team. Since graduating from
Mount Saint Michael Academy in 2008. He is currently a senior at John Jay
College in Manhattan.
Boys'
Program
Our former Physical Education
teacher, Ms. Justine Clifford has been working with our young men for
over fifteen years. This year she is running our youth program with the
boys in the 4th and 5th grade.
Brooklyn native and parent volunteer
Mr. John Malcaus is coaching our boys' varsity team. We thank them for all their hard work and
time that they put in with the young men of St. Elizabeth.
