APRIL EMAIL NEWSLETTER
Dear Alumni and Friends of St. Elizabeth School:
As April draws to a close, we are busy at St. Elizabeth School with many events. The Science Fair, Art Show and Speech Contests all went well and the students won many prizes.
First Holy Communion and Confirmation are fast approaching and before we know it, Graduation will be here! Where did the year go?
When I joined you at St. Elizabeth in September, I was amazed at how close and caring a community you really are. Alumni have reached out to families of deceased classmates, many have donated funds and supplies for the school to be able to continue to provide the best for the students and so many have remained close friends over the years – not just ten or twenty years but in some cases for fifty or sixty years! This speaks well of a school and community that sends children into the world preparing to one day be independent adults who carry on the traditions of academic and spiritual excellence set here at St. Elizabeth School. My compliments to all our alumni and friends – you are a very special group of people and I am proud to be a part of this family.
Please let me know if you have any addresses or emails for your alumni friends. I am getting many requests but am finding that many class years have scant information due to people moving, changing phones or emails (especially emails!), etc. This summer, we will be working on updating the complete alumni database and I would love to get rid of the unusable emails and get correct ones. Ed Fener, Technology Director, and I will work on the website to get the new information up there.
I would also like to get updates on what is happening in your lives. New home, job, children, grandchildren, degrees, etc.? We all love to read about each other; lets share our news! We actually have Jenny Kaeppner, the former Director of Development at St. Elizabeth, to thank for “suggesting” this item. Jenny, as most of you know, retired in September to spend more time with her family. She just emailed me that she is moving to a new home in Cincinnati in early May, and I thought this is the perfect time to ask our alumni if they have any news to report! Good luck, Jenny, hope your move goes smoothly!
