I hope that you have been
having a wonderful summer. It's hard to believe that we are already
gearing up for a new school year!
Among the changes for the upcoming year is a
personal one for me. September 5 will be my last day as Director of
Development for St. Elizabeth School, as I leave the position to spend
more time with my young children and assist my husband with his business.
In my nine years with the school, I have been extremely blessed to work
with a dedicated group of faculty, staff and alumni. I have gotten
to know some of you quite well, and enjoyed the stories about your days at
St. E's and your life beyond. Thank you for the opportunity to work
with you to continue our mission for the next generation of students.
My replacement, Mary Ann Lynch, the principal,
Sr. Noreen Nolan, OP, and the rest of the staff will continue the
important work we have done and keep you posted on all alumni news and

Play
Yard Renovations Almost Complete
After
working all summer, the final touches are being made on the play
yard, with the renovations being funded in part by the challenge grant
and matching donations raised in the spring. The school is
hoping to have a dedication in the fall. Be sure to visit
the website next week at www.steliznyc.org/photos.asp
for photos of the work in progress! We hope that those of
you who have a special brick on our memorial wall (or even if you
don't) will stop by sometime to see it.
Additional
funds are being raised for new outdoor lighting for the safety of our
After School Program and for new doors, to replace the original
ones and badly in need of repair. Additional bricks are also now

2007-2008 Annual Report
Just a reminder that the fiscal year is about to come
to an end, and that donations must be received by August 31 to be
