January 2006
Alumni E-Newsletter

Dear Alumni,

Happy New Year!  I hope that you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends, and are looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!

Website  Redesigned

A new year brings a new website!  Over the last month we have worked to redesign the site, which has looked the same since 2001.  The new site features better navigation, additional material that you may find helpful, and an updated layout.  Those of you from the days of St. Elizabeth will notice that your old school color has been incorporated into the site.  We are still located at the same web address (www.steliznyc.org) and the following are some of the pages you may find of interest:

Home Page http://www.steliznyc.org/index.asp - View the latest news and events, as well
Alumni Page http://www.steliznyc.org/alumni.asp - This includes all of the old topics, but we've made it easier to find what you're looking for.
Photos http://www.steliznyc.org/photos.asp - Check out what the students are doing today.
Athletics http://www.steliznyc.org/athletics.asp  - See what's going on with the CYO basketball team.
Contributions http://www.steliznyc.org/types.asp  - Find out how you can help the school.
Publications http://www.steliznyc.org/publications.asp - Check out the latest newsletter or annual report.

CYO Basketball

If you are in the New York area, mark your calendars for the Fourth Annual Faculty/Staff-Student Game. Watch the Class of 2006 take on the teachers and staff in this fun event for everyone.  The action will take place on February 28 at 4:30 pm.

Open House and Liturgy Scheduled

Just a reminder that our annual Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1 from 9 am to 12 noon.  This would be a wonderful time to check out the new Science Center to be dedicated that week.  Also, we will have a School Liturgy of Thanksgiving on Thursday, February 2, at 9 am, and would love to have alumni present.  Please let us know if you plan on attending either event, so we can be sure to watch for you!

Eighth Graders Win at Academic Olympics

Tatiana Arnold scored fifth place in Mathematics and Liseidy Bueno scored second place in English, competing against students from many other prestigious schools in Manhattan and the Bronx.  We are proud of their accomplishment!

May God bless you and your families this New Year and always!

Sincerely,

Jenny Kaeppner
Director of Development
St. Elizabeth School
