Dear Alumni,
 
Summer vacation begins for the students on Friday, but the work in our corner of Washington Heights will be just beginning.  Plans over the summer will including retiling the first and second floor hallways and classrooms; with many thanks to many alumni, school families and friends, we met our goal last month.  Work will also continue of the Peace Garden.  As we look ahead to next school year, we also bid farewell to the 39 eighth graders who graduated on June 15.  Pictures of the event, as well as the kindergarten graduations, are available online at www.steliznyc.org.
 
Student Wins Archdiocesan Award
 
The school congratulates third grade student Natalie Rodriguez, who was a winner in her grade division in the Archdiocesan Bicentennial Power Point Presentation Contest.  If you have been following this newsletter, you know that this has been a very big year for St. Elizabeth students in local competitions!
 
Class of 1978 Reunion
 
Maritza Palacios-Tribuzio and Robert Abreu of the Class of 1978 are in the beginning stages of planning for a 30th Anniversary Reunion for their class next year.  Please see the list of "missing alumni" at www.steliznyc.org/alummissing.asp#1978 and email them at raabreu@yahoo.com or mariteach428@optonline.net if you have information about any of your classmates.
 
Class of 1988 Reunion
 
Yovanna Jose of the Class of 1988 is planning the class's 20th Reunion for next year.  Please contact her at yovannaj@earthlink.net for more information.  They recently held a "pre-reunion" at Hispaniola in Washington Heights.  A list of missing alumni from their class is at www.steliznyc.org/alummissing.asp#1988Please help us find these alums! 
 
Class of 1957 Reunion
 
The Class of 1957 will hold their 50th Anniversary Reunion on October 7, 2007.  Organizer Judith Fray Murray '57 has asked that you contact her at jandjmurray@msn.com or PO Box 457, New City, NY 10956, so that she can get the most up-to-date email and phone list. She plans to start working on details this month.
 
We are still looking for a number of missing alumni from the Class of 1957.  The list is posted at www.steliznyc.org/alummissing.asp#1957.  If you are in contact with any of these persons, or any of their relatives, please email me or Mrs. Fray.
Scholarships for Next School Year

We are currently in the process of looking at financial aid for next year for families who might have difficulty meeting tuition.  If you are able to contribute to making a St. E education possible for another generation of students, please go to our website at www.steliznyc.org/scholarship.asp.
