Alumni E-Newsletter

Dear Alumni,

I hope this email find you all well.  Spring seems to have finally arrived in New York City, and with it, continued construction on our Peace Garden courtyard.  Watch upcoming newsletters for information about our progress.

More Student Success!

We are proud of eighth grader Sissy Henriquez who placed first in Mathematics and seventh grader Marcela Madera who placed third in Religion in the Academic Olympics at Mount St. Michael Academy on March 10.  Seventh and eighth grade students from Archdiocesan Elementary Schools participate.

Congratulations also to those students who were winners at our recent School Science Fair. First place winners were: Yeremy Yela (fifth grade) - "Bones & Calcium"; Brian Batista (sixth grade) - "Bacteria at School"; Lucien Liz-Lepiorz (seventh grade) - "Diesel/Electric"; and Miryam Pinto (eighth grade) - "Music Effects."  Miriam Pinto and Lucien Liz-Lepiorz went on to win First Place for their grades in the District Science Fair sponsored by the Catholic Schools of North Manhattan.  Photos and a full list of grade level winners is available on the website at www.steliznyc.org.

Looking for Classmates

Are you looking for a missing classmate?  Email me at officedev@steliznyc.org and I can spread the word here.  Monica (Zenner) Caselli was a member of the class of 1974, but moved before graduation.  She is trying to locate Maria Romero, also from the class of 1974.  If you have information on Maria, please email Monica at mcaselli@stac.edu.

School Receives Donation of Computers

The school was very blessed to receive a donation of 15 computers from the Siemens Corporation earlier this winter. The computers will be set up and placed in various classrooms throughout the building.  Special thanks to Father Peter Pomposello of St. Elizabeth Church who was responsible for procuring the donation.

What Have You Been Up To?

Take the opportunity of our upcoming spring newsletter to share news with your classmates.  They want to hear what you've been doing.  Where are you working?  How many children and grandchildren do you have?  Any recent vacations or other events?  We also share the sad news of the passing of our alumni.  Please email me at officedev@steliznyc.org if you would like to have a line or two included in the next issue.

May God bless you and your families this Easter and always!

Sincerely,

Jenny Kaeppner
Director of Development
St. Elizabeth School
