June 2001 - This June, Esperanza Abreu will retire after 27 years at the school.
Mrs. Abreu began as a volunteer in the kindergarten program in 1973, while her two sons,
Robert 78 and Ronnie 82 were in school. (Robert is the late husband of teacher Emma
Bonilla.) Since 1974 she has served as a kindergarten teacher assistant.
I will miss the children dearly, my friends in the faculty and staff, and Sr. Noreen
and Sr. Eileen, she says. They have all been very good to me.
