June 2006
- St. Elizabeth School continues to get a new
face, as the finishing touches were recently put on work made possible by Mr.
and Mrs. Elliott Bottom. New desks, chairs, shades, and refurbished blackboards
were provided for many of our classrooms through their generosity.
In addition, a grant from the Steven A. and Alexandra M.
Cohen Foundation, Inc., made last spring by Alexandra Garcia Cohen ‘78, will
be used to replace the 50+ year-old tile on the third floor. The work will
provide a safer environment for the school community, and an appearance that is
more reflective of our great programs. The school hopes to raise additional
funding to complete similar work on the first and second floors in the near
future.
Finally, the library will receive new chairs and tables this spring, thanks
to a gift given by Vincent (‘55) and Frances Lubrano.
