- The 2006 CYO basketball season was a very
successful one. The Girls’ Junior Varsity team (photo right) ended their first
season ever as Manhattan League Champs, and advanced to the CYO Playoffs, where
they were runners-up in the County Championship Game. Congratulations to them
and to the other teams for all of their hard work this past year. We look
forward to next season!
The parents have been extremely supportive of the program,
bringing water, washing uniforms, chaperoning and making donations. A special
thank you to Michael O’Boyle, Athletic Director and Girls’ Varsity Coach;
Justine Clifford, Boys’ Varsity and Junior Varsity Coach; Marlene Harthmann,
Girls’ Junior Varsity Coach; and Assistant Coaches Rick Solis and Ruben Segui.
The school community was treated to two special games this season. The
"grown-ups" were victorious by a 34-26 margin at the Fourth Annual
Faculty/Staff-Student Game on February 28.
