Two seventh grade students have been
accepted into the Aquinas High School PULSE (Partnership for Urban Life Science
Education) Program, a challenging Saturday enrichment science program.
Congratulations to Raven Gilberts and Nicole Ruszczynski!
Eighth grade student Darisa Alcantara participated in the
Manhattan Catholic Elementary Speech Contest on March 2. She won second place at
the District Level Speech Contest at Good Shepherd School on February 9. Speech
champions from the nine other Catholic Elementary Schools in North Manhattan
participated.
Tatiana Arnold placed fifth in Mathematics and Liseidy Bueno
placed second in English in the Academic Olympics at Mount St. Michael Academy.
Hundreds of students participated from many other prestigious schools. We are
proud of these two eighth grade students for their accomplishments!
Once again, several students excelled in the New York City Department of
Environmental Water Conservation Art and Poetry Contest. We congratulate fith
grader Samantha Caimiro (Borough-wide winner), sixth grader Nicholas Durverge,
and fifth graders Jason Garcia and Carlos Morales.
