August 2008 - On March
6, the St. Elizabeth Girls Varsity Basketball Team won 27-26 over St. Charles
Borromeo, with a clutch shot in the final seconds of the game.
On their road to the championship, they were also victorious
over St. Joseph and Epiphany in the playoff round. On March 8 they were
eliminated in the Bronx CYO Championship, losing to St. Barnabas, Bronx. Many
thanks to those who came out to support the team.
Congratulations to the girls and Coach Mr. Michael O’Boyle
and Assistant Coach Mr. Richard Solis! Thank you to the faithful parents,
teachers and students who supported all the teams throughout the season, and to
Coach Ms. Justine Clifford and Assistant Coach Mr. Ruben Segui, for the boys’
teams.
