THE
SCHOOL AND SERVICES: GROWING WITH OUR STUDENTS
October
2002 - Students and parents returning for the 2002-2003 school year found a number of updates to the building and program resources.
The Library Connections Project has continued with the complete automation of the card catalogue through the new Athena system. This is networked to all computers in the school. In addition, new furniture and computers have arrived, and Librarian Sr. Doris
Thibault, OP, Assistant Principal Sr. Eileen Barrow, OP, and teachers Mary Soto and Michael O’Boyle attended a three-day workshop in August.
The building itself has had quite a make-over. With special thanks to our donors, almost $75,000 in necessary repairs were completed, including roof repairs, painting, brick replacement in the front of the building, and flag pole repair.
Several necessary projects for our 52-year-old building are still waiting in the wings. Current plans include additional pointing of the roof, bathroom retiling and plumbing renovation, flooring replacement, and new shades for the windows. We will keep you posted as funding becomes available. If you are interested in helping to make any of these projects possible, please contact the Development Office.
