Students join Ms. Caren Howley, Executive Director of one of the donors,
the Endowment for Inner-City Education, and Principal Sr. Noreen Nolan, OP in
celebrating the dedication of the Center.
The students make demonstrations in chemistry, biology and robotics using
the laptop computers donated by the Beaumont Foundation of America.
At the reception following, teacher Eileen Ferry and
Assistant Principal Sr. Eileen Barrow, OP, enjoy the company of Sr. Catherine
Rose Quigley, OP,
Principal of AquinasHigh
School
in the Bronx. A statue of St. Albert the Great is displayed in the
Center.
OTHER EVENTS
A St. Elizabeth School student competed against other students from the
Manhattan Catholic Elementary Schools in a Speech Contest on March 2. She won
second place at the District Level Speech Contest at Good Shepherd School on
February 9. Speech champions from the nine other Catholic Elementary Schools in
North Manhattan competed. She is pictured below with her father; the Principal Sr. Noreen Nolan, OP, and
another student who was
runner-up in the school speech contest; and Assistant Principal Sr. Eileen
Barrow, OP.
Students and members of the community attend Ash Wednesday

The faculty and staff were the victors in the fourth annual Faculty/Staff-Student Basketball Game,
winning 34-29.
Students, faculty and staff dressed in their red for St.
Valentine's Day. The day included a candy sale fund-raiser.
