Eight of our students will have the privilege of attending the Youth Rally
with His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, on April 19 at St. Joseph's Seminary in
Yonkers. The students, who were chosen by lottery, will attend with staff
members. Students will present His Holiness with a novel gift, the
official papal visit skateboard, designed by a St. Elizabeth student as part of
an art contest. This gift is in honor of the very successful Skateboarding Club
initiated by St. Elizabeth Church Parochial Vicar Father Peter Pomposello.
Father Pomposello was interviewed last Friday by CBS News, who hung around to
view a skateboarding demonstration.
