SCENES FROM ST. ELIZABETH

2003-2004 School Year

Be sure to also check out our alumni photos and our athletic photos!

Students gather for the First Quarter Awards Assembly.

On November 10, 2003, members of the St. Elizabeth community gathered for the first anniversary of the dedication of the Peace Garden.  Pastor Msgr. Gerald Walsh blessed the bricks that had been ordered by alumni and friends.  We hope to have the brick wall up soon.  Pictured below are Mrs. James McAlary and her daughter Joanne Sullivan McAlary '76.  The McAlary's purchased a brick for their son James, Jr. '73, who died on September 11 at the World Trade Center.

Students (and faculty members!) celebrate Halloween at the school.

Sixth grade students receive a multi-cultural lesson, as Mrs. Tuason welcomes the chef from the local Chinese restaurant to teach the children to use chopsticks.

Students participate in a special anniversary Mass for Police Officer Michael J. Buczek, of the 34th Precinct, who was shot and killed during a drug raid in Washington Heights in 1988, at the age of 24.

Scenes from the first week of school: faculty members prepare, the students are welcomed back to school, and the school community gathers together for the Holy Spirit mass.
