SECURITIES
The donation of securities can be a good way for the donor to save on substantial capital gains taxes while assisting the school. Often donors have stock that they may have bought or inherited many years ago. While the stocks might not be paying a very large dividend, if you were to sell these stocks, large capital gains taxes would be due.  Please see our transfer instructions.

MEMORIALS
Many donors contribute their gift to remember of a special loved one.   These donations are usually given for general use, but can also be used for needs on our Wish List.  In some cases, memorial plaques can be provided.

CHALLENGE GIFTS
Encourage others to support the mission to which you give so generously. Challenge members of your alumni class, decade, profession, or other group to match your gift. This can be done using your name or anonymously, and will be advertised in school publications, via email, and on the website.

MATCHING GIFTS
Many employers have basic programs that match charitable contributions at least one-to-one, some even higher. Also, most honor the contributions of their retirees as well. Select our Matching Gift Company List to see if your company participates.  For more information on your own company’s matching gift program, speak with their community relations office.

FROM YOUR RETIREMENT PLAN
You can now make gifts from your IRA while you are still alive! Donors aged 70 1/2 can withdraw up to $100,000 each year from their individual retirement accounts tax free if they give the money directly to a 501c3 charity, like St. Elizabeth School.  Call the school for more details.

OTHER WAYS OF GIVING
There are other ways to give back to the school with no additional cost to you.  Check these out and earn money for the school while shopping at Target, using General Mills products, and using your Verizon Long Distance.

PLEDGES
A pledge is a legal commitment over a specified number of months or years made by the donor in support of St. Elizabeth School, allowing the donor to make a larger gift by spreading it over a period of time.  Click here to complete a pledge commitment form.
